Bureau of Land Management aggressively enforcing trail closure on Animas Mountain
The Bureau of Land Management is aggressively enforcing the trail closure on Animas Mountain that’s intended to protect big game.
Last weekend, a law enforcement officer equipped with a radio, pepper spray, gun, etc. was waiting a couple hundred feet behind the gate and ready to hand out tickets for $275. A second offense is $500.
The trail is clearly gated closed with signage attached to it. Please tell your friends not to duck the gate during this wonderful sunny weather that we’re having.
Animas Mounain Trail is expected to open back up on April 15th.
